Requirements for removal of User Input: Governance workflow

The essential idea is the end user should not have to make any of the selections for Select Source (Step 2) and Select Destination (Step 3). These can be done behind scenes rather the requiring screens for input.

Step 2

· Source Connection: already prepopulated, not requiring an input

· S3 File System Connection: already prepopulated with S3_Raw_Zone_Connection, not requiring an input

no user input is required, can this step not be removed? If step can’t be removed, at least default the answer and just make it a click thru.

Step 3

· Destination Type: Always default to ‘HIVE’

· File System: Always default to ‘S3’

· Output path: Always default to ‘s3a://dpp-XXXX-raw/data/provision/entities’

· Data Format: Always default to ‘Delimited’

· Target Schema: Always default to ‘provision’

· Create Entity in ZDP Catalog: Default to uncheck

If no user input is required, can this step not be removed? If step can’t be removed, at least default the answer and just make it a click thru.

Step 4

Auto-populate current user (provisioning user) email address in the Notification Email textbox in Step 4.
